Using TravelConnect Explorer & Explorer4Flights with AOL

AOL Users may find that they have problems connections to our system using our custom browsers,TravelConnect Explorer or Explorer4Flights.

This is due to a peculiarity of AOL that only allows the user to access the internet when logged into AOL first. Because our system requires live internet access to function, an AOL user must connect to their AOL account first.

How do I know if I'm having problems due to my AOL?

After you have installed your TravelConnect Explorer or Explorer4Flights, you should have our icon on your Windows Desktop. If, when you click on the icon, you see the following message (Fig. 1), then your AOL is not connected yet.

First, in order to use TravelConnect you must connect to your AOL service.

You must follow whatever route you normally take to connect to AOL. Typically, this involves clicking on the AOL icon on your desktop, and entering your AOL username and password.

When your AOL screen has loaded completely, you may Minimize your AOL window by clicking on the Minimize button in the top-right of the AOL screen (Fig. 2).
